Explore the imposing Cerro Tronador, the highest point in the region, and admire the rare Ventisquero Negro amid the stunning landscapes of Nahuel Huapi National Park.
Destaques
Contemplate the force of nature on the highest peak in the region.Cerro Tronador is an extinct volcano that rises to more than 3,400 meters in altitude, marking the natural border between Argentina and Chile. The name "Tronador" is due to the imposing sound, similar to thunder, produced by the detachment of large blocks of ice from its seven glaciers. On this tour through the heart of the Nahuel Huapi National Park, you will visit the famous Ventisquero Negro, a rare, dark-colored glacier formed by avalanches of ice and sediment, creating a unique visual contrast with the surrounding snow-capped peaks. The journey passes through deep valleys, coihues and lenga forests, skirting lakes with crystal clear waters such as Lake Mascardi. It is an experience of deep contemplation, where the grandeur of the ancient glaciers and the geological history of Patagonia are revealed at each viewpoint. Between November and April, the scenery takes on a special touch with the possibility of visiting the region's waterfalls, making the itinerary even more dynamic and refreshing.
