BEAGLE CANAL NAVIGATION TO WOLF ISLAND

Discover the Beagl Canal and the Isle of Lobos with this wonderful navigation, and have a beautiful view of what we call "End of the World", where only the southernmost remains is the Antarctic ice. A beautiful walk enjoying sea wolves, local birds and the majestic Andes mountain range - which by the sea provides even more stunning views. Throughout the course, our guide tells us a little about the local history and also about the animals and islands we see. We boarded the tourist port of the Beagle Channel. The channel is cut in the center by an imaginary line dividing Argentina and Chile. So we sailed through Argentine waters, but also enjoyed the mountains and islands on the Chilean side of the canal. At the very beginning of the navigation, we can already enjoy the beautiful "Bahía Ushuaia" and observe the privileged position of the city, which is surrounded by magnificent mountains and glaciers. This view, besides being beautiful, also prompts us to know the history of Ushuaia. As we contemplate the landscape, it is possible to imagine the moment when European boats arrived in the region and spotted the various points of fire that the natives used to warm themselves. Hence the name Tierra Del Fuego. On the way, we pass the Island of Birds, where we admire several fueguina sea birds, such as skúas, albatrosses, gulls, cauquenes and ducks. We arrive at the famous Wolf Island, which houses two types of sea wolf. Next to them, you can also see the cormorants, which are usually mistaken for penguins. Sailing a little further, we come to the emblematic Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse. There are other colonies of cormorans, both imperial and roqueros. We came back along the Argentine coast, seeing Playa Larga and the port.

Observations We go down to Bridges Island for a walk when weather conditions allow. Your local guide will confirm the transfer time to the port. The route of this tour is subject to partial or total change due to mechanical and/or weather problems (cancellations may occur). In case of an unforeseen return by land, the arrival point will be at the service point for this tour.
